Flashback Friday ~ The Way It Should Be!

Love Diet Coke as much as sweets, toss up which is worse for me.

I have been trying to curtail my Diet Coke habit at the moment.

Believe my deprivation of Diet Coke led to this being the subject of the First Flashback Friday (Coca Cola Ads from the 60s and 70s.)

Do you remember Tab?  I can remember mourning the departure of Tab from grocery shelves, horrified at that beverage called Diet Coke.

What was your favorite vintage drink?  Do you still indulge?

If I could teach the world to sing, in perfect harmony… (sing along) grow apple trees and snow white turtle doves..  Coke is what the world wants today… (at least this chickie does!)

Still 50 and fat, hoping to be fabulous!

  1. Oddly enough, I don’t really like pop. But, when we go to the beach, I simply have to have a burger, fries and a classic Coke. I can taste it right now just thinking about it — so I hear what you’re saying! To me, Coke means sun and surf. We keep the feeling going by saving the bottles (8 oz. ones) and using them to keep single-serving cold waters in the fridge. It’s not quite the same as that spicy tingly drink, but it’s still pretty fun.

    • Love having a diet coke with my fries and burger on the beach! Must say my favorite beach treat is the tiny box of cookies (had a cats face made from a cookie?) really really soggy from the day spent on the beach! What a fun idea, I have found seltzer with a twist to be an adequate replacement (?) I am going to try to replicate the above! Hope you are having a relaxing weekend!

  2. Everything is better at the beach! Cold here too.. went from really hot this week within seemingly a few hours, seems they are predicting a few snow flakes this week (not too far from me) Very few leaves are down ,they are changing ever so slowly.
